For your prayers: January 2014
Langham Literature
- Pray for editors of the South Asia Bible Commentary who are working many hours and facing numerous challenges. Pray for Dr Jacob Cherian, Jessica Richards and Isobel Stevenson as they oversee much of the work on this.
- Please pray for Dr Nupanga Weanzana from the Central African Republic. He is one of Langham’s authors, and Principal of FATEB in Bangui, where 600 people are currently seeking refuge from the unstable political situation there.
- David Waweru directs and manages the work of WordAlive in Nairobi, Kenya. Please pray for wisdom for him as he faces the challenges of the year ahead.
Langham Scholars
- Please pray for our Langham Scholar from Myanmar, Ronald, currently in Yangon participating in planning for 2014 with others at the seminary where he teaches. Ronald will return to Australia for a couple of months to submit his final thesis and undergo some medical treatment, before returning to Myanmar with his family.
- Please pray also for Qaiser, our Langham Scholar from Pakistan, for God’s blessing and provision for he and his family as he continues to work on his PhD thesis.
Langham Preaching
- Pray for the Langham Preaching Team in Indonesia, meeting this week to finalise their planning for 2014. Pray they will have wisdom in how to respond to the many requests they have received.
- Based in Vancouver, Canada, Jennifer Cuthbertson is the Coordinator for Trainer Development in Langham Preaching. She resources and works alongside local trainers, helping them understand what learning looks like and giving them skills to do it more effectively. Pray that 2014 will be a year where Jennifer’s ministry progresses in its influence around the Langham Preaching world.
