Preaching in Bolivia, Thailand, Ethopia and Zimbabwe 5-Dec-2013

Dear friends

Thank you for your continued support and prayer for the work of Langham Preaching.  Here are the items for prayer and praise this week.

Bolivia: Last week Eduardo Rojas (facilitator) travelled to Oruro and La Paz to visit leaders of the preachers’ clubs.  He was able to encourage them and remind them of their important part in the larger national and continental movement in Latin America. Praise God for these leaders who continue to apply all they have learned in their local contexts.

Thailand: Give thanks for decisive outcomes to last week’s line-up meeting in Bangkok. A new preaching movement is planned for Central Thailand, commencing later in 2014 and with Manoch Jangmook as the local coordinator. Paul Windsor travels on to Chiangmai this week to spend Wednesday with a dozen pastors who have come through the training in Northern Thailand. Pray that the time will encourage them to persevere in their biblical preaching ministries.

Ethiopia: This week Gordon Woolard (facilitator) will be leading a refresher seminar at the Evangelical Theological Seminary in Addis Ababa. Pray that those who participate will be strengthened in their resolve to be preachers of God’s Word. Pray for Gordon and Frew Tamrat (country coordinator) as they lead this time together.

Zimbabwe: The monthly Level 1, 2 & 3 training will take place this week on Saturday in Harare for 65 participants. Gary Cross and John Bell (country coordinators) will be joined by Asafa Makan’a to facilitate this event for those from Harare, Guruve, Bulawayo and Norton. Praise God for the great spirit which has been among the participants throughout the year. This event is the final gathering for the year and so please pray that the training will end strongly.

Thanks for your prayers!
The Langham Team
