Prayer in DR Congo, Papua New Guinea, Tanzania…Monday 21st July

Dear Friends

Thank you for your prayers for the work of Preaching around the world. Here are the items for the week ahead:

DR Congo: Two Level 2 events will be held this week, the first in Kapolowe from Tuesday to Friday and the second in Lubumbashi from Saturday to Tuesday. Mike McGowan (regional coordinator) and Isesomo Muhindo (country coordinator) will facilitate the training for participants from different denominations, many of whom will be travelling long distances. Please pray for safety in travel and good health for all who will be there.

Papua New Guinea: A brief message through from Wendy Toulmin (Langham Partnership, Australia), giving thanks for a wonderful week, after a gap of many months. ‘There has been growth in the local training team in both ability and confidence’. Give thanks for the ‘Taste of Langham’ days in both Banz and Port Moresby. Please pray for the future and for sustainable plans to be made.

Tanzania: A Level 1 will be held in Dar-es-Salaam from Wednesday until Saturday for 70 participants. Elkana Gonda (country coordinator) and Charles Sanagu (local facilitator) will lead the training and ask us to pray for them and the protection of the participants.

Bolivia: A Level 2 event will take place from Thursday to Sunday in Oruro, in the highlands of the country, with 20 pastors, leaders and students. Eduardo Rojas and Fernando Montoya (facilitators) will be teaching on ‘preaching the parables of Jesus’. Eduardo asks us to pray ‘that they will understand the power of Jesus’ teaching and be challenged to use the tools they receive, bringing into the Bolivian context the original impact of the parables.’

Thanks for your prayers!
